As part of the global World Cleanup Day initiative, Back to Blu took part in Green Cleanup Kostrena 2025, joining forces with the Kostrena Tourist Board, the Municipality of Kostrena, and Komunalno društvo Kostrena.
The day began in front of the Kostrena Sports Hall, where volunteers gathered to collect gloves and waste bags. From 9 to 11 a.m., they cleaned multiple locations proposed and selected by the participants themselves, ending the effort with a shared lunch provided by the Municipality – a fitting close to a day of care and collaboration.
Local Action, Global Impact
The cleanup brought together residents, community groups, and young participants from Kostrena Elementary School and Zlatna Ribica Kindergarten, who carried out their part of the initiative a day earlier.
Through this collaboration, Kostrena once again proved its commitment to being part of the global network of volunteers who act locally to build a cleaner, more responsible world.
“Every bag of waste collected, every hour of volunteer work – those are small but real victories. At Back to Blu, we believe responsibility begins locally and spreads by example,” said Dunja Tomić, Back to Blu Director.
Community in Action
For Back to Blu, joining actions like this one isn’t just about ecology, it’s part of a broader mission to nurture a culture of care, awareness, and shared responsibility. As a sustainable brand born from the idea of “Back to common sense,” every collaboration with local communities is a reminder that change doesn’t come from big words, but from simple everyday actions.
Looking Ahead
We extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined the effort – from the youngest participants to organisers and partners. Green Cleanup Kostrena 2025 once again showed that one day can leave a lasting mark – on nature, and on how we see our role in protecting it.
Because every change, like every sea, starts with a single wave.
