When art and environment come together, something truly timeless happens. Back to Blu collaborated with acclaimed pianist, arranger, and composer Zvjezdan Ružić for a one-of-a-kind concert among the ancient Roman ruins of Verige Bay on Brijuni National Park. Broadcast live through six global Facebook channels, the performance reached thousands of viewers around the world – sharing not only Ružić’s music, but also a message of respect for nature and the sea that surrounds us.
From Sound to Sustainability
Known for his extraordinary open-air performances, from the canyon of Rječina to Zagreb’s Maksimir Lake, Ružić chose Brijuni as the perfect stage for his collaboration with Back to Blu, whose mission is to inspire environmental awareness through creativity and education.
“It was a dream day – playing among zebras, horses, and the wild beauty of Brijuni reminded me how deeply music belongs to nature,” Ružić said. “I wanted to merge my music with the environment, to send a message about the need to protect it. I believe this story from Brijuni has reached the world.”

Supported by Yamaha and produced in cooperation with Liburnia Group, the concert embodied the essence of Back to Blu: bringing sustainability into culture, art, and everyday life. As one of the first creative projects under the Back to Blu name, it marked a milestone: showing how art can be more than performance – it can be purpose in motion.

From filming among animals in the Brijuni Safari Park to performing on the ancient stones of Verige Bay, this concert became a symbol of connection – between people, music, and the environment. Because protecting beauty begins by noticing it.
