Under the “Sail4Sustainability” initiative, Back to Blu partnered with the Fiumanka Regatta to create a project that unites art, sea, and kindness. A limited-edition official poster, illustrated by Italian painter and sailor Eugenio Giaccone Pittore, was being sold for charity – with 100% of proceeds donated to purchase a 420-class sailing boat for young sailors at Sailing Club Galeb.
When art becomes action
More than a keepsake, this poster captures the spirit of giving. By purchasing it, supporters not only took home a piece of maritime art but also helped children learn, grow, and find confidence on the sea. It was a small gesture that turned creativity into opportunity.
Sustainability through collaboration
The initiative formed part of the Sail4Sustainability programme, held under the patronage of Rijeka Gateway, where Liburnia’s CEO Marin Škufca spoke on behalf of Back to Blu during the sustainability panel. His message reflected the heart of the project:
“Back to Blu is an initiative that promotes sustainability. We don’t just live by the sea – we should live with it. Together with Fiumanka, we want people to better understand the sea, its value, and the kind of future we want it to have.”
